Didn’t see that coming from a mile away! You’re running a business selling food and delivering it to people, providing a service for people who can’t pick up a pizza, and next thing you know – your delivery driver gets robbed! Well, well, well, what do we have here! A crime, a safety issue, and a major problem that needs to be fixed. So what happens next? Some food places are deciding not to deliver to some neighborhoods where crime is a problem and delivery drivers have been robbed.
You’d think that was common sense, right? It is. It’s totally normal to not want your employees to be constantly robbed and for them to get hurt and for the business to lose money. It’s not worth it to sell a pizza or two in a neighborhood full of crumb bums. Nope. Not one sale is worth it.
But, some of those folks are mad about it. Some of the folks who live in “certain” areas are saying this is race-baiting and demoralizing. Nah, it’s not. It’s just a business wanting their people to be safe at work. That’s all this comes down to. No where did this say anything about race, it’s about action and reaction. It’s about seeing people get robbed and wanted them to stop getting robbed. And think about the worker, the guy who’s rushing around to bring people food and he gets his ass kicked for a $14 pizza. You think he deserves that? Heck no. If anything, THE VICTIMS are demoralized, not the people who just want a pizza. You know what, if you need the pizza that bad, then go pick it up. And tell your neighbors to stop robbing people, then maybe the delivery man will come back.
