Donna Major was a victim of a tragic bank robbery in Conway, South Carolina, in 2017. She was working at CresCom Bank when Brandon Council, the convicted murderer, shot her and her coworker Katie Skeen during the robbery. Donna Major was 59 years old at the time of her death.
Her family has been vocal about their disappointment and frustration, especially after President Biden commuted Council’s death sentence to life in prison in December 2024. They feel that justice was not served for Donna and Katie.
