If there’s one thing comedian Dave Chappelle does very well, then it’s walking you down a path where you’re thinking one thing, then boom – he hits you with a punchline you had no idea was coming. That’s the case with Dave Chappelle’s new comedy special on Netflix.
Chappelle begins telling this longwinded story about when his father passed away and he was at an all time low, thinking he’d never smile again. That’s when someone he looked up to very much, the late Norm Macdonald, asked if he wanted to meet comedian Jim Carrey. Chappelle was excited, but like all things too good to be true – there was a catch – which you’ll see in the video below.
I’ve got it on right now and it’s ranked #1 in TV Shows Today on Netflix. The description for Dave Chappelle’s new comedy special said: “From his onstage tackle to the slap heard round the world, Dave Chappelle lets loose in this freewheeling and unfiltered stand-up comedy special.” And let me tell ya, this opening joke just rocked the audience in a way they didn’t see coming… Watch Dave Chappelle’s opening joke below:
