A laptop has been reported as stolen from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senator Jeff Merkley’s offices. This took place allegedly during the siege on the Capitol by pro-Trump protesters. Nancy Pelosi has been reelected as Speaker of the House of Representatives. The 80-year-old Democrat won a close vote over Republican Kevin McCarthy. The vote was 216 to 208, in favor of Pelosi. President Donald Trump vetoed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), but his veto was overridden by the House who took a vote on it. United States District Judge Leslie Gardner, sister of former Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, has blocked two counties in Georgia from removing over 4,000 voters and not permitting them from voting in the upcoming runoff elections on January 5th.
