Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham has publicly scolded House Speaker Nancy Pelosi who went on the attack against President Donald Trump. Her attack took place after he signed the CARES Act, a $2.2 trillion relief bill for America.
Graham was on “Sunday Morning Futures” stating his case against Nancy Pelosi, saying that her attack on President Trump was “shameful, disgusting” and called her out.
Pelosi has accused President Trump of downplaying the situation, and said that he”fiddles” while suggesting that people have lost their lives because of his actions, or inaction.
She has been criticized by politicians and voters alike for her remarks on Trump.
At some point, Pelosi herself was criticized for holding up the relief aid package.
What did Pelosi say? She said while on CNN, according to Fox News, that “his denial at the beginning was deadly, his delaying of getting equipment… to where it is needed is deadly, and now the best thing would be to do is to prevent more loss of life, rather than open things up so that, because we just don’t know.”
Graham had a strong response when he called her out. He said, “she said she’s blaming the president of the United States for people dying because of the way he’s led the country… That’s the most shameful, disgusting statement by any politician in modern history.. This is the same speaker of the House who held up the bill in the Senate for days because she wanted same-day voting, she wanted carbon neutrality for the airlines, she wanted $75 million for the endowment for the humanities and $25 million for the Kennedy Center.”
The Kennedy Center was allocated $25 million and then later stated they were no longer paying musicians after April 3, despite being slotted to receive money specifically for relief in situations like this.
