A DC Comics artist has quit amid the scandal with the Superman motto being altered to remove the “American way” statement and replacing it with something much different The old Superman motto is “truth, justice, and the American way” – and they’re changing it to “truth, justice, and a better tomorrow” – completely removing the mention of “American way” – a long standing motto, and that’s got a lot of people very irritated.
The DC Comics artist who quit is colorist Gabe Eltaeb. He stated that he’s sick of the changes and characters being ruined. Specifically, he said: “I’m tired of this shi*t, I’m tired of them ruining these characters.”
He went all in, cracking DC Comics even harder and saying: “What really pissed me off was saying truth, justice, and a better world. F*ck that it was Truth, Justice, and the American way… My Grandpa almost died in World War II; we don’t have a right to destroy sh*t that people died for to give us. It’s a bunch of f*cking nonsense.”
Etaeb suggested that he’s going to finish his contract and that should just about wrap it up for him and DC Comics. But it wasn’t just the Superman scandal and DC Comics that had Etaeb in a tizzy. He was calling out leftists for calling people bigots over a difference of opinions. He even said in his own explanation video that it’s time for people to stand up against tyrants, implying that people should no longer allow their views to be silenced and not bow to the woke cancel culture that’s putting a dent in entertainment.
Etaeb said, “They call us bigots and racist and sh*t, I would ask them, find me in the f**king mainstream, not on the fringes, one fu*cking book, one f*cking t-shirt, one movie that says that leftism is bad, and conservatism is good, find it for me, they f*cking won’t they’re not letting people have a voice, they’re the f*cking bigots”
He said that his opinion has been “bottled up” for the last five years. It appears that the issues with Superman’s motto and recent ‘coming out’ could be exactly what Etaeb needed to spark him into finally expressing his opinion. With talents like his, he’ll likely land a job in his field quite soon.
