Kilmar Abrego Garcia requests gag order on Pam Bondi and Kristi Noem

(Crankers) Illegal Immigrant Kilmar Abrego Garcia requested that a federal judge grant a gag order to stop Attorney General Pam Bondi and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem to be quiet and stop attacking him. Garcia faces a criminal trial based on immigrant smuggling charges, and feels that the attacks from members of the United States government will prevent him from having a fair trial.

This marks the third time lawyers complained about government officials making public statements about Garcia. Comments about Garcia have come from people such as President Donald Trump, Bondi, Noem, and many others. Garcia will go to trial, but he denies any and all criminal allegations.

Long story short, the attorneys representing Garcia want the gag order because they feel like the comments made about him prevent him from having a fair trial.

Who is Kilmar Abrego Garcia?

Kilmar Abrego Garcia is citizen of El Salvador, not the United States. After entering the United States illegally in 2012, he was granted “withholding of removal” status, which allowed him to live and work in the U.S. but did not provide a path to citizenship. Garcia was born and raised in El Salvador, from which he fled to escape gang threats.

In 2019, an immigration judge granted him withholding of removal, a form of legal protection that prohibited his deportation to El Salvador but did not make him eligible for permanent residency or a green card.

He is married to a U.S. citizen and fathered three children, all of whom are American citizens.

In March 2025, he was deported to El Salvador in a move the Trump administration called an “administrative error.” After a series of court orders, he was returned to the U.S. in June 2025 to face his criminal charges.

Following his return to America, Garcia’s lawyers filed a request for asylum, which, if approved, could provide a path to citizenship. This request is pending as he faces renewed deportation attempts and his criminal trial.
