They Aren’t Ordering: Country star drops Bud Light from Nashville bar

(Crankers) Country singer John Rich polled his Twitter followers on whether they were still thirsty for Bud Light after the backlash of the company’s partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney. 97% of his followers voted “Hell Naw,” while only 2% said they were still interested in the beer. Rich also asked his 900,000 followers what beer he should replace Bud Light with in his Nashville bar.

The poll comes after Mulvaney was sent a personalized Bud Light can with her face on it as a gift. The can is not for public sale.

Other country singers Travis Tritt and Kid Rock have also spoken out against Bud Light’s partnership with Mulvaney.

Anheuser-Busch has defended its decision to work with Mulvaney, saying that they have not fired their marketing team in response to the backlash, reported ABC Amarillo.

“Anheuser-Busch works with hundreds of influencers across our brands as one of many ways to authentically connect with audiences across various demographics,” the company said in a statement. “From time to time we produce unique commemorative cans for fans and for brand influencers, like Dylan Mulvaney. This commemorative can was a gift to celebrate a personal milestone and is not for sale to the general public.”

The backlash against Bud Light’s partnership with Mulvaney is part of a larger trend of conservative boycotts of companies that support LGBTQ rights. In recent months, conservatives have called for boycotts of companies like Nike, Starbucks, and Target for their support of same-s-x marriage and transgender rights.

It remains to be seen whether the backlash against Bud Light will have a significant impact on the company’s sales. However, it is clear that the issue of LGBTQ rights is becoming increasingly politicized, and companies that support these rights are likely to face backlash from conservatives.

Don’t miss John Rich’s great song, here’s the video:
