(Crankers) Secretary of State Antony Blinken basically admits that the evacuation of Afghans and Americans was a disaster.
He did not explicitly state that the U.S. evacuated Afghans first and vetted later, but he acknowledged the evacuation of American citizens and others could have been handled better.
In testimony, Blinken accepted criticism that the execution of the withdrawal was flawed, even while defending the decision to withdraw troops from Afghanistan.
Acknowledgement of flaws: Blinken admitted the operation could have been handled better and accepted that both the Trump and Biden administrations had roles in the outcome.
Blinken was so lame that he had the nerve to defend the botched withdrawal. Despite acknowledging execution issues, Blinken defended President Biden’s decision to withdraw, arguing it was the right choice to end America’s longest war.
It was such a mess and it makes you wonder how many of the barely vetted people could’ve ended up breaking laws.
