Kamala Harris allegedly spent tons of money on celebrity appearances to convince people into voting for her, and thankfully it didn’t work. Kamala ran her campaign into millions of dollars of debt in another failed run for president and the story actually gets a little bit worse now that people are calling out the celebrities for what they did.
Sports guy Stephen A. Smith exposed big time celebs like Oprah Winfrey and former first lady Michelle Obama for trying to ‘guilt trip’ fans into voting for Kamala. Smith believes this did nothing but alienate normal people over a political guilt trip and that’s not a good thing. Awful Announcing reported on Stephen A. Smith’s comments:
In a Wednesday episode of The Stephen A. Smith Show, reacting to Donald Trump winning the presidency, Smith called out celebrity figures like Oprah Winfrey and former First Lady Michelle Obama for “alienating” everyday people by trying to “guilt” them into voting for Harris.
“In the end, celebrities, who are worth hundreds of millions if not billions, who most American citizens feel are incredibly detached from their way of life and their quality of life, were not going to get away and guilt them into doing something different than what their experience says is going on and what they should do about it,” Smith said.
The truth of the matter is this – celebrities should stay out of politics and stick to entertainment. We don’t care what a celebrity thinks. And when a celebrity takes a stand on a side of politics, then it alienates half of their audience. Why do that? Every celebrity should stick to entertainment and never tell anyone who they vote for. It’s not worth it and it only causes arguments.
Look at Mark Cuban, for example. He’s spent the last few months arguing with people on X, sometimes in favor of Kamala, and now he looks rather silly – doesn’t he? Enjoy the video of Stephen A. Smith calling out Oprah and Michelle, below:
