NY Times columnist Ross Douthat is making some 2024 election result predictions, suggesting Donald Trump could have a prominent victory. Ross said on X: “What I’ve been expecting since the spring, no reason to hedge now. My “model” — Trump won when he was behind in the polls in 2016, almost won when he was way behind in the polls in 2020, now he’s even in the polls with his best numbers ever, nothing in the early vote to strongly contra-indicate his victory, bet on him to win.”
