RFK’s expected VP choice may end his career

(Crankers) Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is gearing up to announce his vice president running mate as Nicole Shanahan. She’s a rich lawyer and entrepreneur type of person – and like him, has never actually run for an elected office position. However, she did donate to his campaign and his super PAC.

And if you’re like me, then you’re probably wondering why RFK is still running for president in the first place when everyone knows he has no chance to win. And when you dive into the background of his potential VP in Nicole Shanahan, then you’ll see exactly how she can end his career in politics before it even really takes off.

To make things a bit more clear in context, RFK is a Democrat, but he’s running on the independent platform. The fact he’s still running is just silly, because no one expects him to be relevant in the election, and anyone staying in the race who isn’t a Republican or Democrat nominee , should just get out of it. It’s my belief that there should only be two candidates in the final election. One vs one for the ultimate victory.

As of now, at the time this was published, RFK didn’t make it official just yet – but speculations in other reports said he plans to do so asap in Oakland.

Some info about Nicole Shanahan. She’s the ex-wife of Sergey Brin, a co-founder of Google, so she’s probably got a few bucks stashed away somewhere, that’s for sure! However, some of the money she spent went towards a criminal justice reform program that may cause people to cast doubts on her leadership abilities. SanFran.com reported on her donations to Measure J :

Another important area of investment—criminal justice reform—is one that Shanahan has been devoted to for years, long before the Black Lives Matter movement. “I remember telling Sergey’s foundation head about five years ago that criminal justice reform was going to be one of the biggest topics of our generation,” she says. “I’m happy that I could be a major donor for Measure J in Los Angeles County, which was voted in and will be rerouting some of the law enforcement budget toward mental and social support services.” Shanahan notes that having a mental health professional on the scene of George Floyd’s arrest would have de-escalated the situation and possibly saved his life.

We believe social and mental health resources are important, but we don’t agree that those funds should be taken from police resources. We need both a strong police force and strong resources for mental health/social programs. Protecting people and providing services should be the key to every community, but we cannot reduce funding from a police force for social workers. That’s just not an optimal use of funding. Her comments about the George Floyd situation are also raising concerns with many people.

RFK is having an announcement today in Oakland, so that’s likely when he’ll mention Nicole. Either way, I am pretty sure this pair is going to run for president and end their political career in the same few months. I don’t believe they have any chance to win whatsoever, especially with her being pro-social programs instead of pro-police. That is not going to sit well with independent voters who are sick of crime. They should just throw in the towel or run as Democrats to knock Joe Biden out of the running.
