(Crankers.com) According to witness reports, the gunman who opened fire at the Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua, New Hampshire, on September 20, 2025, shouted “free Palestine”. However, law enforcement officials have stated that they do not believe the motive was hate-based.
The Suspect: Hunter Nadeau, 23, was taken into custody shortly after the shooting. Authorities later confirmed that Nadeau was a former employee of the club.
While witnesses reported hearing Nadeau shout “free Palestine,” New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella stated that Nadeau made a number of statements during the event. Based on the evidence gathered so far, investigators believe the statements were intended to “create chaos in the moment” rather than reflecting a specific motive.
Robert Steven DeCesare, 59, was killed in the attack. DeCesare was dining with his family and reportedly shielded them from the gunfire. Two other adults were also wounded.
The shooting occurred during a wedding reception, causing a chaotic scene. A bystander reportedly intervened by striking the gunman with a chair, which may have prevented further casualties.
