Former President Donald Trump was about to enter court, but shared a message with the public beforehand. Trump said to everyone: "this is a witchhunt. This is a hoax." Trump was in court regarding alleged hush money. Judge Juan Merchan is supposed to pick a date for trial, which was delayed by 30-days to let Donald Trump's attorneys go over some documents that the federal prosecutors had, which were connected to Michael Cohen.
This took place in Manhattan and District Attorney Alvin Bragg is hoping it does not get delayed any further. It sounds like Bragg doesn't want Trump's attorneys to have enough time to review all the documents handed over. Bragg is trying to say that only a few hundred of the 170,000 documents are connected or relevant to Trump's issues – but that's not for him to decide. That's for Trump's attorneys to figure out. Bragg trying to rush this faster makes it seem like there's documents buried in the pile that Bragg hopes they don't see. NBC further said:
The district attorney alleges Trump falsified business records related to $130,000 in hush money that Cohen paid to adult film star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential election to keep her quiet about her claim that she had an adulterous affair with Trump, which the former president denies.
My question is this: who the heck cares about Stormy Daniels, Michael Cohen, or anything these people may have done, or not done? None of it is important and none of it has any impact on our country. This is all irrelevant and it really does seem like the Democrats just hunting for ways to ruin Trump’s campaign. This is stuff that no one cares about whatsoever. And what about this post on NBC News (an article imported from AP) that says Stormy denied it? Does anyone really care about what happened, or didn’t happen, with Trump, Stormy, or Michael Cohen? No, we don’t.
BREAKING – in an update on NBC, by reporter Diana Pulsen, Trump secured a victory. She reported:
An appeals court today handed Trump a major victory, reducing the bond required for his civil fraud verdict and giving him 10 more days to post it. He now has 10 days to pay a $175 million bond, rather than having to pay nearly $500 million by today.
The decision also stayed the ban on Trump and some of his family members serving on the board of companies.
They did not grant requests from Trump to prohibit the independent monitor or installing an independent director of compliance.
