(Crankers) President Donald Trump clashed with a reporter while discussing the crime crackdown taking place in Chicago.
REPORTER: Are you ready to go to war with Chicago?
TRUMP: When you say that, darling, that’s fake news. Listen. Be QUIET. Listen. You don’t listen, you never listen. That’s why you’re second rate. We’re not going to war…we’re gonna clean cities up so they don’t kill 5 people every weekend. That’s not war – that’s COMMON SENSE.
The Trump administration launched Operation Midway Blitz, an immigration enforcement initiative aimed at undocumented individuals with criminal records in Illinois. It was not a broader crime crackdown like the 2020 Operation Legend, but a targeted deportation effort overseen by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
