Trump campaign distances themselves from Sidney Powell

(Crankers) The Trump campaign has officially distanced themselves from Sidney Powell. Jenna Ellis posted a statement today stating that “Sidney Powell is practicing law on her own. She is not a member of the Trump Legal Team. She is also not a lawyer for the President in his personal capacity.” It appears to be signed off by Rudy Giuliani and Jenna Ellis.

This comes at a time when Sidney Powell had been making appearances or interviews and suggesting that something “biblical” was coming in Georgia. There have been talks of “releasing the Kraken” but it appears as though she’s the one being released – but it’s unclear if she was ever a part of the legal team to begin with.

There appears to be some confusion with readers, as President Trump previously suggested that Powell was part of his legal team. He said on Twitter , that “I look forward to Mayor Giuliani spearheading the legal effort to defend OUR RIGHT to FREE and FAIR ELECTIONS! Rudy Giuliani, Joseph diGenova, Victoria Toensing, Sidney Powell, and Jenna Ellis, a truly great team, added to our other wonderful lawyers and representatives!”

But the exact details of Sidney Powell’s participation on the legal team now seems to be confusing. Either way, Trump’s legal team has set themselves apart from Sidney Powell.

This could add uncertainty to Trump’s legal team.
