(Crankers) Sen. Mark Kelly ran to Rachel Maddow’s Show so he could cry about President Donald Trump including him in the “SEDITIOUS SIX.” But it’s Mark Kelly’s fault because he was in a video with five other Democratic lawmakers where they urged U.S. military service members and intelligence personnel to refuse illegal orders.
The only problem is there was never an illegal order to begin with. And military fplks already know not to follow an illegal order. So what happened here is that the SEDITIOUS SIX Democrats sparked confusion among the public and military, making people think Trump was giving illegal orders. It’s basically a strategy to make people confused and lose trust in Trump and/or the military.
Trump labeled the lawmakers’ comments “seditious” and called for consequences – including saying it’s punishable by death.
Kelly, a former Navy combat pilot and retired NASA astronaut, should obviously know better than to do this stupid sort of confusing nonsense. But he participated in it anyway and now he’s facing an investigation from Mark Hegseth, the Secretary OF WAR.
Kelly ran like a baby to Mommy Maddow to push back on the accusations. He insisted the video was intended to remind military personnel of their duty to uphold the law, not to defy lawful commands. Kelly emphasized that he was not suggesting any specific illegal orders had been issued, and noted he was “not aware” of any such orders from President Trump.
During the interview, Kelly said the mounting scrutiny from the Pentagon and the FBI is politically motivated. OH BOO HOO! Kelly and the Seditious Six released a politically motivated video to screw with everyone, so who is he to run his mouth?
Kelly argued that the response from Trump and some administration officials was intended to intimidate political opponents rather than address any legitimate misconduct. Kelly also said he and the other lawmakers had received a wave of threats since the controversy began.
Kelly told Maddow that the president’s rhetoric has real-world consequences, expressing concern that charged language from the White House could encourage harassment or violence. OH NOW THEY’RE WORRIED ABOUT RHETORIC??? But all the crap the Democrats talked about Republicans, police, ICE, and others were nothing, right?
I don’t even feel bad for the Democrats at this point. They dug this hole themselves and they can put both feet in as far as I’m concerned. America would be better if all the Democrats resigned except for John Fetterman. He can stay. He’s cool.
Kelly also said he would not be discouraged from speaking out, citing past experiences in the Navy where he survived multiple high-risk missions. “I’m not going to be silenced here,” he said.
The Pentagon investigation remains ongoing and hopefully all six of the boneheaded Seditious Six are held accountable for their actions. The other lawmakers in the video are Elissa Slotkin, Jason Crow, Chrissy Houlahan, Maggie Goodlander, and Chris Deluzio. They’ve also issued similar defenses, arguing that reminding military personnel of their obligations under the Constitution is not sedition.
Nah, this needs to be punished. They knew exactly what they were doing and they should not get away with it.
