(Crankers) Scott Jennings is becoming a national treasure in front of our very own eyes. This segment on CNN shows Jennings holding up a simple Good Guy / Bad Guy list.
The good guy was listed as Daniel Penny who was just acquitted. The bad guy was listed as Luigi Mangione, the suspect accused of killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
This took place on “NewsNight with Abby Phillip” and Audie Cornish, a journalist, was talking over Jennings during part of the show. She said, “I want to bring in the politics of this because when I hear lawmakers hailing Penny as a hero, as a good Samaritan, really being promoted, can you help me understand the thinking? We started at the top of the show talking about the killer of the UnitedHealthcare CEO being hailed in similar terms.”
This is where Scott Jennings took command. He said, “Yeah, let me just help you understand… if you‘re on the American left tonight, here‘s my chart. The good guys today: Daniel Penny. The bad guys: Luigi Mangione… People on the left can‘t seem to tell the difference between the good guys and the bad guys.”
