(Crankers) As more Epstein-related documents continue to surface, one of the newest developments involves a surprising name: Steve Bannon. But that shouldn’t surprise anyone, should it? Everyone already knows Steven Bannon is a huge scumbag and it’s actually a shame that Trump pardoned him.
If you’re not sure why Steven Bannon is a scumbag, then think back to the Build A Wall scam where a group of people ripped off Americans for over $20 million. Bannon pleaded guilty to avoid jail time. That means he’s guilty and was part of the group that was taking advantage of real American patriots – all in the name of acting like a patriot himself.
Steve Bannon, the confidant of President Donald Trump, pleaded guilty Tuesday to defrauding New Yorkers who donated to “We Build the Wall,” an online fundraiser for Trump’s signature project during his first term, in exchange for a sentence without prison time. (see here)
And now we find out that Steve Bannon was chatty with a rotten creep like Jeffrey Epstein? And this wasn’t like decades ago when no one really knew what a sicko Epstein was. It was in 2018. Steve Bannon was chatty with Jeffrey Epstein even though he knew Epstein was a rotten fella.
Why would you even have a guy like Epstein’s number in your phone? I guess when you’re a scumbag yourself, then it makes more sense. Scumbags stick together. Being in contact with someone as bad as Jeffrey Epstein, knowing how bad he is, is what makes it worse than normal. Bannon knew Epstein was bad news and made a conscious decision to connect with him. Sickening.
Here’s a breakdown of what the newly released information actually shows, what it doesn’t show, and why the story has become a point of discussion.
Recent releases from the House Oversight Committee include text messages, emails, and calendar entries from Jeffrey Epstein’s files. Among these documents are communications showing that Epstein and Steve Bannon exchanged messages in August 2018, during a period when Bannon was running several pro-Trump media and messaging operations.
The reports describe Epstein offering Bannon advice on how he should handle upcoming media appearances, strategic messaging related to politics, and guidance regarding Bannon’s online and broadcast projects.
According to reporting from The Guardian and other outlets, these exchanges suggest Epstein had a behind-the-scenes role, at least briefly in shaping some of Bannon’s public-facing political content. I know the Guardian is more of e liberal outlet, but when it comes to reporting on scumbaggery, we shouldn’t judge any outlet one way or the other. The facts are the facts.
Calendar entries from Epstein’s schedule also list planned meetings with Bannon from 2014 to 2019, along with entries referencing other well-known figures. These entries don’t confirm that every meeting happened, but they do show Epstein was actively trying to maintain or build those connections.
So basically, the newly released documents show that Jeffrey Epstein and Steve Bannon communicated about media and political strategy in 2018, and Epstein appeared to offer guidance on Bannon’s messaging work. The files also show that meetings between the two were scheduled over several years.
A key part of the story is what’s not in the documents. There’s no evidence that Bannon was involved in Epstein’s criminal activity.
There’s no allegation that Epstein provided illegal services to Bannon. There’s no documentation showing Bannon participated in or knew about Epstein’s trafficking operation. The communications focus on political strategy and media work — not on Epstein’s crimes.
Reuters and several major outlets emphasized this point clearly: the documents are notable because they show a political relationship, not a criminal one. But still, the problem is that Bannon willingly connected with a known criminal and that alone is bad enough. Especially for what Epstein was ultimately found to be doing.
One thing we all need to remember is this: there are people who support MAGA, and there are people who pretend to support MAGA but are really all about themselves. Some people are scumbags. Know the difference.
