(Crankers) Ari Melber, presenter of MSNBC’s “The Beat,” performed a monologue on Monday in response to Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter and efforts to solve the social media platform’s censoring past.

Musk’s Twitter takeover, according to Melber, may result in one party’s candidates being blacklisted or even “secretly” restricting the reach of certain postings, which Musk has been working to correct.

“It’s true that if you’re a democracy such as the U. S., where they used to restrict media and claim Rupert Murdoch can’t have too many local TV stations and newspaper articles in one city,” Melber explained. “But the Congress has not yet gotten around to restricting whether someone can own all of Twitter.” “And, as we talked, you don’t have to justify yourself if you own all of Twitter or Facebook or anything.” It’s not even necessary to be transparent.”

“You might quietly prohibit one party’s candidate or all of the party’s candidates, all of its nominations,” he said. Or you could simply dial down their stuff’s reach while increasing the reach of something else, and the rest of us wouldn’t know until after the election, as reported .

Elon Musk claims that he is just a free speech, intellectually clear, open-minded assistant, a global helper if you will, who is doing all of this to aid people. Is that correct? Should you accept his word for it? Should you be concerned about this regardless of whether or not you have a Twitter account? This is crucial information.”
