(Crankers.com) Michigan police went viral after they shared a video of officers using a grappler device used to stop a suspected stolen car traveling on I-96.
The video shows police trailing the car, deploying the grapple device behind the allegedly stolen car, and then the grapple yoinks the vehicle in until it comes to a stop.
The video appears to show the vehicle try to continue driving ahead, but it just couldn’t get very far and eventually stopped.
The grappler device might damage the rear axles, but at least it stops the car during pursuit and doesn’t allow the cop chase to reach a high speed any further than it was, essentially deescalating the situation as far as the cop chase goes.
