(Crankers.com) Mayor Karen Bass expressed her distaste for the Supreme Court who recently lifted restrictions on ICE raids. The court ruled 6-3 to remove the restrictions and allow ICE to continue their work as they seek and deport illegal immigrants in major cities like Los Angeles.
DHS issued a statement on social media, saying: “DHS law enforcement will continue to FLOOD THE ZONE in Los Angeles.” DHS also said the Supreme Court decision is “a victory for the safety of Americans in California and for the rule of law,” and that they will “arrest and remove the criminal” illegal immigrants that Mayor Bass is accused of protecting.
Mayor Karen Bass suggested that it was racist, or racial profiling to seek illegal immigrants and put them up for deportation. She said in an email: “Today’s ruling is not only dangerous — it’s un-American and threatens the fabric of personal freedom in the United States of America… Today, the highest court in the country ruled that the White House and masked federal agents can racially profile Angelenos with no due process, snatch them off the street with no evidence or warrant, and take them away with no explanation.”
Governor Gavin Newsom was later accused of gaslighting and fearmongering when he said on social media: “Trump’s private police force now has a green light to come after your family. Every person is now a target.”
Mayor Bass continues to fight against ICE doing their job and to protect the illegal immigrants, but it’s unlikely she’ll have the power do do anything at this point. Watch Karen Bass on video below:
