(Crankers.com) The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office says that deputies were called to arrive at the condominium complex on SE Old Town Court, located near Happy Valley.
The cause for the call came from witnesses who allegedly saw Benjamin Bucar, 40, park his car near the apartment and go in the back,
The witnesses state that they didn’t recognize Bucar as one of the residents.
After further questioning, the witnesses also stated that they saw the door to the crawl space was left open with light coming from the inside, after which it was closed.
Once on the scene, the deputies reported confirmed damage to the locked door with an extension cord coming through the vent.
The deputies questioned the owner, who confirmed that no one should be down there and that no lights were installed.
The owner tried opening the door, but the key didn’t match, forcing the deputies to break down the door.
Bucar was allegedly found inside with a pipe that tested positive for meth.
The crawl space was equipped with chargers, lights, plugged electronics, TV, and a bed.
Bucar was arrested, after which he was charged with unlawful possession of meth and first-degree burglary.
