(Crankers) Laken Riley’s family gets a touch of justice after her killer was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. The killer, an illegal immigrant named Jose Ibarra, found out the sentencing from Judge H. Patrick Haggard who ruled on 10 criminal counts. Georgia does have the death penalty, but the prosecutors apparently pushed for a life sentence. A report on MSN stated:
Prosecutors called 28 witnesses while laying out what they said was evidence beyond a reasonable doubt that Jose Ibarra killed Riley, who died by blunt force head trauma and asphyxia.
Special prosecutor Sheila Ross told the court Jose Ibarra encountered Riley while she was on her morning jog on Feb. 22 while he was out “hunting” for women on the Athens campus.
Ross said Riley “fought for her life” in a struggle that caused Jose Ibarra to leave forensic evidence behind. Digital and video evidence also pointed to him as the only killer, she said.
“The evidence in this case has been overwhelming, and the evidence in this case has spoken loud and clear — that he is Laken Riley’s killer, and that he killed her because she would not let him rape her,” Ross said during her closing argument on Wednesday.
This case was a major story across America as it pointed out that there’s a huge problem with the border, because some people coming to America illegally are then breaking other laws, such as committing murder among other violent crimes. Vetting people at the border was a big thing for anyone with common sense, but the last four years saw record numbers of illegal immigrants flooding the country.
The folks who break the law make it harder for the good people to start their new life in America. It wouldn’t be an issue if people didn’t break the law, because then pretty much everything would be fine. Except, that’s not reality and people do break the law – and unfortunately, many of those crimes are horrific.

He should have been given the death penalty. He’s not even an American citizen that would wake the rest of them immigrants up illegal ones

Would have been great to hear the judge tell Ibarra: “You are going to be sorry that you EVER stepped foot in these United States”! Personally, if I could, I would “off” this bastard Jose in a nanosecond!!!
He is a Catholic. That is why he did not receive the death penalty.
He definitely should have gotten the death penalty quickly. Now we the tax payers have to feed him and take care of him for alot of years. I feel so sorry for Her family and friends. The family will never be the same and always think of how life would have been if our Government, biden and doj had done their job instead of letting this criminal go out into our Country to do more crimes like kill Laken Riley.
Justice would only be served if all the liberals like Kamala Harris would also have to pay a price for allowing all these illegals to cross the border on fettered. All these sanctuary cities. They should all pay the price for this too.
The entire Family should be well compensated by Biden and the Democrats for facilitating this evil to be brought into America!!!!!!
We should not hold anyone , even in prison for life if it means spending taxpayer dollars to do do. If we must spend money I n him, let it be to execute him!

Why should he get to spend the rest of his miserable life in one of our jails – 3 meals a day, a warm bed, able to spend his time doing what he wants, like exercising, etc, getting his medical needs met at the expense of the taxpayers of this country, which include her parents!! Our system is so unfair and broken. The death penalty should be used for people like this; and why spend tax money on someone like this when nobody involved in the Jan 6th issue (by false information) were given jail time unfairly? Our own citizens are treated worse than illegal murderers and illegals who commit theft, etc. It is all backwards. Hopefully, President Trump will straighten things out once he completes DRAINING THE SWAMP and the crooked Justice System of those who really care NOTHING about the citizens of this country or this country itself.
