(Crankers.com) A 23-year-old Ukrainian woman fled the war, came to America, and was killed by a man on public transportation in America. The crime took place in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The victim was identified as Iryna Zarutska. The suspect was identified as Decarlos Brown, 34, who has a long criminal history and was arrested over a dozen times. Some critics want the judges who freed this man held accountable.
Zarutska had stepped onto the train and sat down in front of Brown. The two did not have any interaction whatsoever. Brown takes something out of his pocket, which could’ve been the knife, and after a few more moments – he stabs her for no reason.
CMPD issued a statement saying that Brown was treated at Atrium Health and is being charged with First Degree Murder once he’s released. He had been arrested shortly after the attack.
