(Crankers) This Democrat woman has been in politics for only THREE YEARS and she’s already been charged with a major crime.
When I saw this news, I was like OMG!! HOW STUPID CAN YOU BE? Well, apparently politicians are really stupid. They can’t even break the law right!
The Congresswoman charged in the major crime is Democrat Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (D-Fla.). She was indicted by a federal grand jury in Miami on charges alleging the theft and misuse of over $5 million in federal disaster relief funds. If convicted, Cherfilus-McCormick faces a maximum penalty of up to 53 years in prison.
LMAO!!! Imagine sitting in jail until you’re like 80-years-old because you had a GOOD PAYING JOB AND STILL BROKE THE LAW!
DUMMY!!!
According to the indictment, in July 2021 a company co-owned by Cherfilus-McCormick and her brother, Edwin Cherfilus, received a $5 million overpayment under a contract with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for COVID-19 vaccine-staffing services. Prosecutors allege the overpayment was wrongfully retained and “routed through multiple accounts to disguise its source.” A substantial portion of the funds was then allegedly directed to Cherfilus-McCormick’s 2021 congressional campaign.
FRAKING EDWIN! It’s always someone named EDWIN doing something stupid, right?
The indictment further alleges the use of straw donors—friends or family members used to contribute to her campaign with funds derived from the overpayment—and charges Cherfilus-McCormick and her tax preparer with conspiring to file false federal tax returns, including by mischaracterizing personal and political expenses as business deductions.
Attorney General Pam Bondi called the alleged actions “a particularly selfish, cynical crime,” emphasizing the seriousness of diverting taxpayer money for personal or political gain. Tell me about it. Taking $5 to buy yourself a snack from donor funds is one thing, but ripping off $5 million will leave a paper trail.
In response to the indictment, Cherfilus-McCormick released a statement calling the charges “unjust,” “baseless,” and part of a “sham” meant to distract from other national issues. She affirmed her innocence and committed to cooperating fully with authorities. We’re not really sure how this distracts anyone from anything though. This is big money we’re talking about and if she’s found guilty, then she needs to pay the price. Her and that guy Edwin!
The case adds to ongoing scrutiny: earlier in 2025 the Office of Congressional Conduct (OCC) referred Cherfilus-McCormick to the House Ethics Committee over allegations of campaign finance and funding irregularities. The indictment now escalates the matter into the criminal realm. So basically, there’s already a history of her doing some bullsh*t.
Cherfilus-McCormick has served as the U.S. Representative for Florida’s 20th Congressional District since January 2022.
