Fun fact, even the IRS workers hate taxes, because some of them are delinquent too

(Crankers) I guess this is no shock. Everyone hates paying taxes, but it’s a part of life and we need to pay something towards keeping our society functional. The bad part about taxes is that individuals have very little control over what our tax money gets spent on, which is why we complain about taxes and hate taxes so much. If we could reduce the wasteful spending, then we’d most likely be cool with it.

Some of us are in situations where we can’t even afford to pay all of our taxes up front, or as we go, and we end up on IRS payment plans – which is totally fine as it deducts from your bank account automatically each month. If you didn’t know about that, then check out IRS.gov for more info at your own desire.

But this report isn’t about us. It’s about them, and by that I mean there’s literally federal employees in the same situation as many of us – if not, worse. And that fact alone is a reason why we need to lower taxes to a more affordable level and reduce the wasteful spending. The federal employees who are delinquent on their own taxes might be in odd situations of their own. Divorce, unemployment, who knows – everyone has their story.

A report on Federal News Network said the following in regards to federal workers and their tax problems: “IRS employees are supposed to stay on top of their taxes. But that’s not always the case. About 95% of IRS employees pay what they owe in taxes. That’s a requirement to work there. But a watchdog report found the IRS disciplined more than a thousand employees with confirmed tax noncompliance issues between October 2021 and April 2023. The IRS found 70 employees were willfully noncompliant on their taxes, and fired 20 of them over it. The report found the IRS also re-hired nearly 400 employees and 100 contractor employees with tax noncompliance between 2005 and 2022.”

I think instead of shaming folks for being behind in taxes, that maybe we should realize that we’re all paying way too much in taxes and our money isn’t being used wisely. Will Donald Trump’s administration crack down on high taxes? Will they reduce wasteful spending like the D.O.G.E is intended on? Will Americans get a tax reduction when Trump takes office? I guess we’ll see… either way, if you owe taxes, then get yourself on the payment plan to stay in the IRS good graces. Now enjoy this video talking about some tax issues…
