(Crankers) The time has come for Lori Loughlin to be released from federal prison and she was set free today. She served two months in the slammer after she was busted for paying about $500,000 in bribe money to get both of her daughters into college and the role in a big bribery scheme for college admissions.

She served her time in a California jail in Dublin. Her hubby, Mossimo Giannulli (fashion designer), is still serving his hard time in a five-month sentence. He’s locked up in Lompoc, which is close to the Santa Barbara area of California, per a report on AP .

Loughlin and Giannulli were both initially supposed to report to prison on Nov. 19, but prosecutors and defense attorneys agreed Loughlin could start her sentence on Oct. 30. Loughlin also agreed that she would not seek early release on coronavirus-related grounds, prosecutors said. Giannulli is scheduled to be released on April 17, the Bureau of Prisons says.

The Hollywood pair were not the only ones involved in this scheme, but they were some of the more notable and famous of the bunch. Both admitted to paying the half million to get their daughters into the University of Southern California “as crew recruits” but here’s the catch – neither girl was a crew rower.

Before the couple plead guilty, their lawyer insisted the Full House actress and her fashion designer hubby were innocent, but clearly that was not the case.

There’s about 60 people involved in the case and AP reports that around a dozen are still fighting off the allegations. Anyone who was sentenced to jail received anything from a few weeks to nine months in the slammer.

Meanwhile, other students are getting into college the old fashioned way with hard work.

MSNBC had video footage of Lori Loughlin being released from federal prison and it went like this:
