(Crankers) Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) is confronting increasing pressure to resign following a series of reports and staff departures that have raised questions about his mental and physical health.

A recent New York Magazine article detailed concerns from current and former staffers about Fetterman’s behavior, citing instances of erratic conduct, paranoia, and noncompliance with medical advice following his 2022 stroke. Former Chief of Staff Adam Jentleson reportedly expressed alarm over Fetterman’s trajectory in a 2024 letter to medical professionals, highlighting issues such as missed medications and reckless behavior.

These revelations have coincided with a wave of staff resignations, including key aides Caroline Shaffer and Madeleine Marr, who left shortly before the article’s publication. The departures add to a pattern of turnover within Fetterman’s office, prompting discussions among Senate Democrats about potential interventions, said Daily Beast .

In response, Fetterman has dismissed the article as a “hit piece” and attributed the concerns to disgruntled former staffers. He maintains that he is following medical guidance and has no intention of resigning before his term ends in 2028.

Public discourse has also intensified, with some constituents and commentators calling for his resignation on social media platforms.
