All aboard the choo choo train! Do you remember the story about the female police officer who slept with multiple male cops in her department? Well, she has a new story and this one does not involve trains. All jokes aside, she's played the victim card and is taking home a six figure settlement over this fiasco. THIS GIRL JUST GOT PAID! DANG! I wish I was a woman cop! I'd do the same thing! Look folks, I ain't shaming anyone for sleeping around, but I don't think she's a victim by any means. However, she did cash in on a very nice payout, so I guess hooking up with 'the squad' paid off nicely for her!
Her name is Maegan Hall and she filed a lawsuit, it was dropped, and she took a $500,000 settlement. I'd say she's a genius for pulling this off. All the folks in this incident shouldn't really be paid anything and they should be split up and not working together anymore – but now she's cashing in on it and I am actually impressed. I don't think she deserves the payout, but I am nonetheless impressed with how she turned this whole situation into a big payday.
What happened with Maegan Hall? Well, her and four guy cops had "relations" while on duty and they lied about it. It wasn't all the guys and her at the same time, but her and each of the four guys at different times. All five of them got fired. She later filed a lawsuit saying she was sexually harassed, groomed, and ridiculed after it all came out in public – which reduced her chances of finding employment elsewhere.
Honestly, if she's a good cop, then just hire her back with the agreement that she, under no circumstances, will have relations with anyone else at work. And same for the guy cops. You can't let a little risky business throw away a career, right? I'd split them up and put them all in different police departments. You know people at work are screwing all the time, right? It's just these folks who got caught. It was funny, but was it really that serious? I don't think so. There's worse things going on in the world than a few cops having a little hanky panky. So what's up with Maegan Hall's lawsuit? She reached a $500,000 settlement. WSVM had the story:
The lawsuit filed in February 2023 alleged Hall was a victim of sexual harassment while being groomed for “sexual exploitation.” Since the sex investigation made national headlines, lawyers for Hall said she has been subjected to public ridicule and negative publicity has thwarted her attempts to regain employment.
“Maegan Hall was a vulnerable and optimistic 24-year-old woman who had applied to be a police officer in the City of La Vergne,” the lawsuit said. “Where Ms. Hall sought role models at her new job, she instead found predators.”
I don’t think it’s fair to the male cops to say they were predators. It’s my opinion that she was just as responsible. After all, she let it happen multiple times. That sounds like someone having a fun time. She’s a cop. She has a gun. She can report this. She can protect herself. I don’t believe the story, but the court did and that’s all that matters. She won the case. Good for her. Take the money, but don’t ruin the guy’s careers over this. They don’t deserve that, in my opinion. No one involved in this incident should lose a career over this.
