(Crankers) Just in time for the Epstein files to come out!
Too soon?
I’m guessing New Jersey’s governor elect Mikie Sherrill won’t be hanging this photo up on her mantle any time soon, especially with who’s in it. Of course, the court hasn’t played out yet, but this guy was charged with some really messed up stuff!
A Democrat former mayor in New Jersey was arrested on some really messed up charges that involve sickening crimes against a minor who was allegedly groomed online.
Andrew LaBruno was arrested and charged with multiple felonies after prosecutors said he assaulted a minor in Englewood, New Jersey. LaBruno, 44, is also a police sergeant with the Jersey City Police Department and was taken into custody on November 17, 2025.
According to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, LaBruno met the juvenile through a social-media app and went to the minor’s home. Investigators allege that LaBruno injected or applied an unknown substance to the victim’s hand, then pressed the victim’s hand over the victim’s mouth and nose, causing dizziness and impairment. Prosecutors say LaBruno proceeded to commit sexual acts on the victim while the victim was incapacitated.
LaBruno is charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault by force or coercion, and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child. He is being held without bail at the Bergen County Jail.
The Jersey City Police Department has suspended LaBruno without pay. He previously served as mayor of Dumont from 2020 to 2023 and recently ran unsuccessfully for the New Jersey General Assembly in District 39.
The case remains in the pre-trial phase, and no plea has been entered beyond initial denials of wrongdoing. Prosecutors say additional evidence, including victim statements and physical evidence, has been collected as the investigation continues.
