(Crankers) A couple in California decided to set a trap for bike thieves by leaving an unlocked bike outside their home. When someone tried to take it, they would rush out and confront the would-be thief with a baseball bat. They even posted videos of these encounters on social media.
Corey Curnutt, 25, and Savannah Grillot, 29, carried out these actions on at least four occasions between July and November last year, according to the Visalia Police Department.
The pair would leave a bicycle in their front yard, unlocked, and wait for someone to attempt to steal it. When that happened, they would rush outside and confront the person with a baseball bat, said a report on Road.CC.
Last Wednesday, officers located Curnutt and Grillot and booked them for assault with a deadly weapon and conspiracy. This story took place four years ago, but every once in a while, their mugshots go viral because people seem to support them so much for taking a stand against crime. However, it got to the point where the couple started doing it for fun, allegedly, so they could post the videos on social media.
