(Crankers) The finale of the Disney+ series ‘The Santa Clauses’ was released recently, and Tim Allen said that he is pleased with the way it turned out, specifically noting the way Christmas was honored, despite saying that the format of a streaming series took some time to get used to.

WATCH the video:

“We honor the Christian tradition without heralding it. It’s not — it is what it is. It’s a Christian holiday. So, we don’t belabor it, but we don’t ignore it,” said Allen. “I love the way we deal with it,” added the actor, according to the Washington Examiner .

After being cast in the first film in 1994, the now-69-year-old Tim Allen is reprising the role of Scott Calvin. Allen was also serving as an executive producer of the series, and he said that shooting the show as a streaming series was initially a challenge. “This is a new format for me. I can get my head around it creatively. It’s not a television show. It’s not a movie. It’s what we’ve been forced, challenged to do now is a hybrid,” said Allen.

“It’s a long movie or a very produced, very creatively elevated television program,” he added. “To get that first episode, get the fourth episode and the sixth episode in my head,” said the actor. “I see the beginning, middle, and end as though it’s a six-hour movie. I said, ‘This thing is very, very good,’ and this is early on, and we continue down this path,” Allen explained.

When it was revealed last month that his character, Kris Kringle, lamented that “saying ‘Merry Christmas to all’ has suddenly become problematic,” ‘The Santa Clauses’ actor came under fire.

Filmmaker Scott Weinberg, who initially brought attention to the line on Twitter, wrote: “It just struck me as a truly weird thing to put in a kid’s series. ‘<someone> wants to stop us from saying Merry Christmas!’ is not some random campaign.” “It’s a low-key effort to vilify anyone who doesn’t celebrate this holiday. In a grown-up movie, I’d just groan and ignore it,” added Weinberg.

The first two episodes were released on November 16, and since then, weekly releases of the episodes followed, which led to the finale, which came out on December 14. The series takes us to the world of Santa Clause and follows Santa Clause in questioning his nearly 30-year run delivering gifts to the children of the world. At one point Santa begins interviewing his potential replacements, and among the candidates in these auditions comes former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning, who cameos as himself.

So if you wanna see Tim Allen taking on the memorable role of Scott Calvin as Santa Clause, he last played in 2006, quickly go to Disney+ and start enjoying the Christmas magic in the new series of ‘The Santa Clauses.’
