(Crankers) A biological male has been crowned Model of the Year in the British Fasion Awards in London. He beat out five women who were going for the title, according to Daily Wire.
Alex Cosani, 21, won the title at the ceremony on Monday night. Previous Model of the Year winners include supermodels Kate Moss, Kaia Gerber, Naomi Campbell, Bella Hadid, and Cara Delevingne.
Cosani’s acceptance speech included shoutouts to other model inspirations, “specifically the black trans women who fought for the space.”
“You fought for this space that allowed me to flourish today, and I’m eternally grateful for that,” Consani said.

It’s really interesting to see fashion boundaries being pushed and reshaped in London’s scene! This win signals a broader acceptance, doesn’t it? It shows that talent and presence in modeling can come from anyone, regardless of gender. What a refreshing moment for the industry!
saw the news, kinda cool how things are changing. but what does this mean for women in modeling? just a thought.
Fascinating development in the fashion industry, but I wonder, how does this victory align with the broader goals of gender equality within fashion and beyond? Is the industry ready to embrace such changes universally, or is this an isolated instance? Your thoughts, Frank?
Great question, SciGuy_Ryan. It definitely opens up a larger conversation about inclusivity and representation, not just in fashion but in all sectors. Perhaps, this is a step towards more significant changes.
This is a complex issue. On one hand, it’s a win for gender non-conformity, but on the other, it challenges the already competitive field for women. We need to dissect the implications further. How does this advance or impede gender discussions in fashion?
We have several “ stars “ that are headed over there… sounds like good riddance
