(Crankers) Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tried to take down President Donald Trump with a sarcastic statement about the Epstein files, but it flopped harder than a big back jumping off a cliff and landing on the concrete.
AOC: “Republicans have been trying to deflect and diminish Trump’s close relationship with Jeffrey Epstein by delaying the release of the Epstein files. But now they can’t hide. It’s time for the truth to come to light and for the DOJ to release the files.”
Did AOC forget Joe Biden was in office for four years and Democrats could’ve released files at any time, but they didn’t. Did AOC forget that Donald Trump ran for president back in 2015 and Democrats could’ve released information back then, but they didn’t.
And this isn’t the first time AOC made a stupid statement regarding Donald Trump and the late Jeffrey Epstein. She once said on social media: “Wow who would have thought that electing a rapist would have complicated the release of the Epstein Files?” She was clearly referring to Donald Trump and he should’ve sued her for this one!
The Epstein files have been a political magnet for years. Every time new documents, testimony, or redactions surface, the same questions reappear: Who was involved? Who wasn’t? Why do certain names get blacked out? Why does it take forever for anything to be released?
So when new info about the files popped up again recently, then politicians from every corner jumped in with their takes.
For AOC, the broader issue wasn’t just the documents. It was the idea that the release of anything related to Epstein becomes even more complicated when a former president with major public controversy attached to his name is part of the conversation.
Her post wasn’t offering new evidence because it was nothing more than commentary, frustration, and some signature AOC stupidity.
To let the record speak for itself: the Department of Justice has publicly stated there’s no verified “client list” in the way social media imagines it. Multiple outlets, based on DOJ documents, have reported that the department hasn’t found evidence connecting Trump to criminal activity in the Epstein case.
In fact, Virginia Giuffre, Epstein’s most well-known accuser, wrote in her own memoir that Trump never harmed or trafficked her and was not one of Epstein’s co-conspirators.
So AOC wasn’t presenting new facts, juat her political opinion that reflects how she views Trump overall.
AOC has a massive online following and one of the loudest megaphones in progressive politics. When she talks, people listen, and that’s the worst part because a lot of her posts are just nonsense.
AOC didn’t reveal any new Epstein information. She didn’t cite new documents. She didn’t present new allegations. She voiced frustration about how messy and politically charged the Epstein release process has become. Except you can’t just go around calling people THAT.
The one thing AOC does is abuse her platform by spreading garbage out to her sheepish followers who might have a better chance of being a star on The Price is Right, then ever getting some hard work and decency out of a former bartender.
When it comes to Epstein and Trump, just remember these two details:
1) Democrats could’ve used Epstein information in 2015 to stop Trump from ever becoming a president
2) Democrats could’ve used Epstein info to GET TRUMP when Joe Biden was president.
But, Democrats did nothing because they have nothing legit or substantial to use.
Here’s a video AOC shared recently:
