Will AOC run for president in 2028?

(Crankers) Democrats took a big loss when Kamala Harris ran her campaign into debt and was destroyed by Donald Trump in the 2024 election. Democrats constantly said Trump was a threat to Democracy, but then ironically installed Kamala Harris – a very poor candidate – into the election without a single primary vote going to her. Some might call that a very un-democratic process.

With the big loss of 2024 on their hands, the Democrats will have to come up with a likable character to run for president in 2028. Kamala Harris and her word salads, lack of respect from world leaders, and inability to get anything done as vice president simply couldn’t cut it, and it certainly won’t be the case in 2028. The Democrats won’t make that mistake again, that’s for sure. But who do they really have? After all the Democrat names get mentioned and seem like bad ideas, the only one they might have a chance with is the former bartender named Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Collin Rugg reported: “Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez could run for president in 2028 according to The Hill. One Democrat strategist said their party is impressed with AOC’s ability to “cut through the BS and tell it like it is.” “She’s somebody who can cut through the noise and doesn’t talk like Washington.” Democrats believe the congresswoman has a unique ability to connect with young voters. This, they believe, would allow her to utilize social media and podcasts to help win the election.”

The Hill’s post said the following:

Democrats say Ocasio-Cortez would be a magnet for young voters and would have little trouble using social media, podcasts and other online tools, as she has been doing since she was elected to Congress in 2018. While Ocasio-Cortez was once aligned with progressives including Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), she has since backed more centrist candidates.

Still, some Democrats say she still represents a more leftist wing of the party to some voters, something that could hurt her if she pursues higher office. “She and the ‘squad’ started pushing too hard, too fast,” the first strategist said. “D.C. doesn’t work that way. And our party doesn’t work that way. We need to get back to the basics.”
