Here’s the information I’ve found while reading and researching the New Jersey drone sightings. This is just information that’s available to the public, but people either don’t know about, forgot about it, or it’s too boring for them to share on social media because it doesn’t hype up the ‘omg we’re being attacked’ or ‘omg the government is hiding stuff or after us’ narratives.
Both of those narratives are very silly, but they are good or getting sensationalism clicks on social media because it freaks people out. When you tell them something that’s actually true and it turns out to be very boring, like what you’ll read below, then the people lose interest. Here’s what I found so far…
New Jersey is home to several military bases, including:
- Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JBMDL): Located in New Hanover, New Hanover Township, and Lakehurst, this is the nation’s only tri-service base, combining the operations of McGuire Air Force Base, Fort Dix, and Naval Air Engineering Station Lakehurst.
- Fort Dix: Situated in Burlington County, Fort Dix is an Army base that is part of JBMDL.
- Naval Weapons Station Earle: Located in Colts Neck, this Navy base is known for its extensive pier used for loading and unloading munitions.
- Picatinny Arsenal: Found in Morris County, Picatinny Arsenal is an Army base known for its research and development of weaponry and munitions.
- Loran Support Unit: This Coast Guard base is located in Wildwood and is responsible for the Long Range Navigation System (LRNS).
- Training Center Cape May: Also operated by the Coast Guard, this training center in Cape May is the only Coast Guard recruiting center in the United States.
These bases play crucial roles in national defense and military operations.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) operates several facilities in New Jersey, including:
- William J. Hughes Technical Center: Located in Atlantic City, this is the FAA’s premier federal aviation laboratory for advancing the United States National Airspace System (NAS). It covers more than 5,000 acres and houses numerous specialized laboratories.
- Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center: Although primarily located in Oklahoma City, this center also has operations in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
New Jersey was selected for FAA Drone Mission testing in 2013
This video you’re about to see was uploaded to YouTube in 2013, with an original news story published on December 31, 2013. It was posted by an account named ‘NJ Spotlight News’ and they included this url in their video description: ‘http://www.njtvonline.org.’ However, that website is no longer active. It says the website is archived or suspended.
Upon further reading, it appears that they have a new website address and are located at ‘https://www.njspotlightnews.org’ now. So I checked their new website address for the title of the YouTube video (NJ Selected As Testing Site For FAA Drone Mission) and sure enough, there it is. A story from 12/31/2013 that talks about the state of New Jersey being selected as a testing site for the FAA drone missions.
So if the FAA is conducting drone mission testing, then that makes sense. If anyone is saying “the government should have told us” – well, here you go. They told us. It was in the local New Jersey news. It just wasn’t hyped up or exciting because the media wasn’t out of control in 2013 like they are now.
If the drones are doing something else, then no one is really sure. If it falls under any kind of “testing” – then yeah, they told us about it in 2013.
What about the politicians who are saying they have no idea what this is? They might not be in the know. They may not have been in office in 2013. They might be on a need-to-know basis. Or maybe they just want to hype things up and go along with the narrative too. Are they from an Iran mothership? Honestly, if you believe that, then you’re exactly the audience the clickbait media is looking for.
If Iran had a mothership of drones – then you’d never see them. They wouldn’t be flying low enough for us to see with the plain eye, let alone have their lights on. Military drones can fly so high the naked eye can’t even see them. If you see a drone and it’s got lights on, then newsflash – it’s not there to harm anyone. Anyone trying to destroy an entire town with a drone strike would do it from afar, up high, with the lights off.
If anything, in my opinion, these could just be testing drones practicing flights, practicing searches, no one really knows that much except for the people doing it.
People report drones flying to and from the ocean?
Some people have reported seeing drones flying to/from the ocean on the East Coast. We should let you know that FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center is right over in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Does this mean they are flying in and out of there? No, not at all. But it shouldn’t be a shock if there’s drones in a vicinity where a known FAA technical center is located.
Now back to the news video from 2013. You can watch it here, or keep scrolling and read more information about the New Jersey drone mystery of 2024. WATCH THE VIDEO:
You can also watch the video about New Jersey being selected as an FAA drone testing site on that website link. I saved it from the YouTube account just so we had a copy. If you leave to watch it, then be sure to come back and finish reading the article and share it with your friends.
Here’s some information from the FAA drone mission testing article from 2013…
“This is just a enormous opportunity for New Jersey, and the reality that Unmanned Aerial Systems, UAV’s, the technology is there to use them today but we haven’t figured out a way to safely integrate them into domestic airspace,” said Rep. Frank LoBiondo.
Rutgers is partnering with Virginia Tech to conduct the research. Drone research is already underway at the FAA tech center in South Jersey. Companies like amazon have also been experimented with adapting drones for commercial purposes. LoBiondo believes the technology has immense possibilities.
“There’s an application for agriculture, there’s an application with medicine, application with law enforcement, disaster relief, all kinds of things,” said LoBiondo.
Could this be the answer to the New Jersey drone mystery? Is it really something from ten years ago and the people in politics NOW just have no clue or lost track of it? We don’t really know. We DO know that this current White House is incompetent as anything, but that doesn’t mean the other factions operating under this government are anything like the dopes you see on television. Let’s see what else the story says:
There are also economic benefits. “They’re talking about billions of dollars of economic opportunity, thousands of jobs even if it’s only a fraction of that it’s big. But it puts us on the map, following through with the work we’re already doing here,” said LoBiondo.
The FAA expects there will 7,500 drones in U.S. airspace within five years. Some privacy rights groups and residents have concerns about widespread use of them. Critics fear they could be used to spy on Americans.
“It’s not constitutional and we’ll go to every effort we can to make sure there’s no abuse of that,” said LoBiondo.
“It’s pretty scary but whatever, it’s science, it’s what is it is,” said James Staab, a Northfield resident.
“We have to keep up with technology but then there are concerns about accidents,” said Rashmi Mathur, a Northfield resident.
LoBiono believes south Jersey is an ideal location because it’s military and commercial airspace.
Now this is getting interesting. I don’t remember hearing about these ten years ago and now everyone is freaking out about the drones in New Jersey. Do you remember hearing or reading this?
Have I seen any drones in New Jersey? This is where it gets funny. I was making fun of the drone stories and sightings all week. I saw so many people recording planes or just random lights. There was only a few good pictures that looked questionable and not really any good videos. I even made the joke video below making fun of Kamala losing the election.
This is where the New Jersey drone story gets weird:
About 30 minutes after I made the drone video outside, I then saw one hovering in Voorhees, NJ. It had four rotors that looked like they were enclosed and not wide open, like with circles around them for protection. It was way bigger than the little toy drones we see in the mall or online shopping. That was the first one I saw and it was late afternoon – about 30 minutes after I shared this drone video. So likely around 5:00 EST.
Then I went to get some work done on the computer, share my joking video, and I saw another one around the same area around 8:50 pm. By the time I parked, got out, and tried to record it – it was GONE. Literally gone. Couldn’t see lights moving in any direction. Clear skies, too. It’s like the lights were shut off and it zipped it’s way out of sight – or this thing vanished out of thin air.
I kid you know. I pulled into a empty parking lot RIGHT UNDER THE DRONE – stopped the car – hopped out with phone in hand ready to record – and it was gone. If it flew away with the lights on, then I’d be able to see which direction it went. But the lights were gone. Nothing. Out of sight. That part was mysterious to me. If it was elevating with the lights off and watching me on camera, then cool. I gave it a thumbs up. But that’s how fast it got out of there. Think about how long it takes to stop a car, get out, and take a phone out of your pocket. Like 5-8 seconds, tops. A buddy of mine reported seeing one of the UAV style drones flying overhead.
What about airplanes? The funny thing about airplanes is that they don’t hover in place.
Just so everyone knows, there’s a flight path/pattern in South Jersey that the commercial airlines take to get to the big airports nearby, like the Philadelphia International Airport just across the Delaware River. These planes fly low enough that you can usually tell which airline it is and can read the bigger words on the side of the planes. That’s another reason the drones would be keeping their lights on – for airline safety reasons. And of course, another reason why people shouldn’t be alarmed if they see a drone with it’s lights on
Think about this… what if those drones were conducting tests that helped or protected people? Think about this… if there are politicians or pundits acting like there’s some sick project going on, or they’re acting clueless to stir the pot, but it’s just testing they told us about in 2013… then maybe those people you’re listening to aren’t the most reliable sources of information.
People on social media and the mainstream media aren’t very different from each other other than one side gets paid to be on television, the others might get a few bucks for posting on socials – but if they’re hyping things up without looking them up, then that’s where the problem starts every single time. People would rather be first and get clicks, but they should worry more about being reliable and trying to find out what’s actually happening – or at least leading down the path of the correct info. That should always be the priority.
Here are some alleged photos of the New Jersey drones. These were taken from some local neighborhood groups in New Jersey. I have no idea if they are legit, but folks were uploading whatever they saw. Some are my pics, but I won’t tell you which ones (they have a yellow arrow, cough, cough):
And are you ready for the video I made as a joke? This is what took me down the rabbit hole of learning more information about the New Jersey area and drones. THIS VIDEO BELOW WAS ME JUST JOKING ABOUT THE DRONES… I did not expect to see a real one twice… Have a good laugh and share the information above. It may help stop the sensationalist weirdos from coming up with every conspiracy theory they can think of – and that goes to everyone from the bottom of social media to the top of the political food chain.
Found a #dronesoverNJ and recorded it with my iPhone11. #dronesnj #drones please give credit if you use it for your research. pic.twitter.com/WldtbIYZgn

This is all Bullsh-t and our government is lying to us again and they will try and hide it from trump as well the democrats need to be destroyed
what’s BS about it? it’s a news story from ten years ago – before any of this crap was happening.
they literally told us straight up they would be doing this. I think the current administration is just so stupid that they don’t even know what their own departments are doing.
