New Details Emerge About Lisa Marie Presley’s Death
Multiple cardiac arrests, and the warning signs we all missed at the Golden Globes. Here are the latest details about Lisa Marie Presley’s tragic death.
Priscilla Pressley, actress and wife of the late, great Elvis Presley, has broken her silence following the unexpected death of their daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, last week.
In a Twitter post, Priscilla thanked fans during this “very difficult time” after her daughter’s public memorial. “Thank you all for your condolences, you have touched me with your words,” Priscilla wrote on Twitter. “It has been a very difficult time but just knowing your love is out there makes a difference,” she added.
Fox News added:
The Presley family held a public memorial Sunday, and the musician has been laid to rest at Graceland alongside her father, Elvis, and her son, Benjamin Keough.
As Priscilla shared her message, the investigation into Lisa Marie’s cause of death continues. She died on Jan. 12 at the age of 54.
Lisa Marie’s body was examined by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner on Jan. 14 and the cause of death was deferred, Fox News Digital previously confirmed.
The term ‘deferred’ means that “after an autopsy, a cause of death has not been determined and the medical examiner is requesting more investigation into the death, including additional studies,” public information officer Sarah Ardalani told Fox News Digital.
“Once the tests/studies come back, the doctor evaluates the case again and makes the cause of death determination,” Ardalani added.
She was pronounced dead on Jan. 12 at 5:08 p.m. at West Hills Hospital in Los Angeles.
Just days before her tragic and untimely death, Lisa Marie Presley, 54, honored her late father, rock and roll legend Elvis Presley, with some remarking at the time that she did not look herself.
The Sunday before her death, Lisa Marie greeted fans as she honored her late father at the Golden Globe awards.
“It’s been a while. I’ve missed you. I love you,” she said after applause.
One fan shouted, “I love you,” to which she responded, “And I love you.”
“I keep saying you are the only people who can bring me out of the house. I’m not kidding. And I love you back and that’s why I’m here,” she said.
“So, today, he would have been 88 years old, it’s hard to believe. I think that he would have been proud, I think this year’s been an incredible year. I think the movie was incredible and I’m very proud of it, I hope you guys are too,” Lisa Marie said in regards to an award-winning film released last year about her father’s life.
“It’s just so moving how every year you come from all over the world and it’s moving to me and my family, and thank you,” she added.
