No one has seen her in months, but the mystery has finally been solved. Rep. Kay Granger had gone unseen for about six months and many people thought she was ‘missing’ – but she was finally discovered living in a dementia care center.
Granger was last seen back in July when she cast a vote against an amendment that would reduce the salary of Deputy Assistant Admin for Pesticide Programs down to $1. After that, nothing. Barely anyone had seen or heard from her since then. She’s been serving the Texas 12th Congressional District since 1997, but it seemed like she was nowhere to be found.
That’s when a reported for the Dallas Express decided to take matters into their own hands and conduct an investigation into the ‘missing’ Congresswoman. An exclusive news story in the Dallas Express revealed the mystery on Rep. Granger once and for all.
The reporter, Carlos Turcios, started with phone calls to her offices, but that lead nowhere because the calls ended up in voicemail. Then the reporter stopped by the office and it seemed like nothing was going on there either. That’s when reporter Carlos Turcios struck gold with a local tip, according to the report on Dallas Express:
The Dallas Express team visited the facility to confirm whether Granger was residing there and to inquire about how she planned to vote on the spending bill. Upon arrival, two employees confirmed that Granger is indeed living at the facility.
However, we were not permitted to conduct an interview regarding the current spending debate in the House of Representatives and how or if Ms. Granger planned to vote.
Some may say it’s sad that Granger’s career ended this way, but the bigger problem is that no one got her out of politics sooner. Someone had to know she was having issues and struggling, but they allowed her to continue working – and shame on them for not getting Granger out of there sooner. It reminds many people of how the Democrats treated Joe Biden, pushing him around like a puppet when deep down inside he probably just wanted to sit on the beach in Rehoboth with his wife.
