Rachel Maddow allegedly took a $5 million pay cut and now she only makes $25 million to feed you bullsh*t on a rusty spoon. You could dress me up like a donkey and beat me with a stick for that amount of money and I’d still be more honest than she is. But hey, I don’t make the rules and I’d honestly do that for a 6-pack of Natty Lite in today’s overpriced society. I say allegedly because it’s not quite confirmed – more on that later.
But don’t let me forget about the facts here. Maddow, best known for looking like the adult female version of Kevin Arnold, is quite an anti-Trumper who spoon-feeds her audience the generic nonsense they want to hear, a lot of the times avoiding common sense, and most of the time sounding fairly dumb – in my personal opinion.
Comcast is shaking things up and MSNBC and Maddow are feeling the wrath of it. Comcast is turning several of their network platforms into spinoffs in the big shakeup, so in order for them to keep Maddow, they had to snip a cool $5 million from her. No big deal, right? She can still afford a tank of gas and some croissants, so I don’t think she’ll be hurting for money any time soon considering she’ll make $25 million to gaslight you.
Maddow considered leaving years ago, but NBCUniversal paid big bucks and I honestly have no idea why. I have never met a single person who would admit to watching Rachel Maddow, The View, or Joy Reid – but here we are with sh*tshow circus goofs making millions to hand deliver the worst type of content a human could consume. Have you ever watched an episode of any of them? It’s like they are not living in a real world.
And now the later part. I can’t confirm the $5 million alleged pay cut because a report on MSN says someone else disputed the amount. Why is it simply not public knowledge? We should know how much these people make to (sometimes lie) be on these shows. The report on MSN said the following:
“This is a difficult time and they needed to keep her,” one executive explained. “No one else can do what she does. You can’t build a brand like it overnight.”
A lot of people can do what Rachel Maddow does. It’s not hard to sit there and handpick anti-Trump nonsense for your leftwing audience. Literally anyone can do that. Building a brand, that’s a different beast, sure – but you could put anyone in her shoes and the right type of marketing would turn it into a similar show overnight. Unless that person was worse than Maddow, which could be a difficult task. The report continued:
Another source with knowledge disputed the claim that Rachel had taken such a significant pay cut in speaking with The New York Post, but did not clarify how much she might have lost.
Rachel’s significant salary in combination with her light work load speaks to how valuable her brand is to the network, even as they enter a turbulent period.
OK who cares, then. She took a pay cut and she’s still overpaid. I love how they admit that she has a “light work load” which has us wondering what she even does. What exactly does she do? Does she have people write for her and she just gets up there to spit it out?
Rachel’s pay cut was part of a broader problem inside MSNBC. The apparent reasons for Rachel’s pay cut is a broader climate of panic inside 30 Rock that followed the news that Comcast is planning to spin off all of its cable channels by the end of 2025. That will mean that MSNBC will be split off from NBC, which might mean that the network has to change its name, logo, and branding, and could also result in fairly significant layoffs.
Maybe Comcast sees the future and wants to offload some of the waste over the next few years.

I only know these names because you discuss them. If we ignored them, maybe they would fade away. Free advertising for MSNBC?
