Kyle Rittenhouse, a teen man who was found not guilty of deadly shootings in Kenosha, Wisconsin, has revealed plans to sue news organizations and people who spread lies about him. On Nov. 19, Rittenhouse was cleared of all charges in the Kenosha shootings that resulted in the deaths of two men. One man was injured. Rittenhouse was charged with the homicide of 36-year-old Joseph Rosenbaum, a 26-year-old Anthony Huber, and injuring of 27-year-old Gaige Grosskreutz. Rittenhouse was accused of homicide and reckless endangerment and faced a potential death penalty.
The 18-year-old said to Fox News that he and his team made a decision to start The Media Accountability Project as a mechanism to hold the media responsible for the lies they said. Rittenhouse emphasized that he didn’t want to see anybody else in a similar situation, adding that he was considering a couple of celebrities, politicians, athletes, and Whoopi Goldberg, per report.
He said that Goldberg, the co-host of The View, referred to him as a murderer, although he has been acquitted of all charges regarding the shootings that killed two men in 2020.
Rittenhouse expressed that Goldberg called him a murderer after he was cleared of all charges. He also called out Cenk Uygur from ‘The Young Turks,’ who continued to brand him a murderer even after the trial was over. Uygur is an attorney and a political commentator who founded the left-wing program, which promotes progressive politics and left-wing beliefs.
Rittenhouse continued by saying that he planned to hold everyone who lied about him accountable, including everyone who called him a white supremacist.
