This just in, Keeping Up With the Kardashians (KUWTK) will be canceled after 20 seasons. Who canceled the longtime trash reality TV show? None other than the Kardashians themselves.
It was Kim Kardashian West who made an Instagram post announcing her family’s decision to cancel the E! reality show after next year, at the end of what will be their 20th season.
Kim K posted the following:
It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Keeping Up with the Kardashians. After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes and several spin-off shows, we’ve decided as a family to end this very special journey. We are beyond grateful to all of you who’ve watched us for all of these years — through the good times, the bad times, the happiness, the tears, and the many relationships and children. We’ll forever cherish the wonderful memories and countless people we’ve met along the way.
TV Line reported that a representative from E! has indeed confirmed the end of the show and the date it will likely end.
Keeping up with the Kardashians spanned 14 years, 20 seasons, and introduced people to the different worlds of the Kardashian family. Many Americans consider the family rather talentless and suggest that the Kardashian family is only famous for being famous, and much of that fame spawned from the infamous home video of Kim Kardashian and Ray Jay, and Kim K’s mounds of assets if you know what I mean.
Some suggest that without that tape ever happening, that this family may not have received any attention. However, Kendall Jenner may have still become a very highly successful model due to her natural beauty.
TV Line provided information from the E! representative, who said:
E! has been the home and extended family to the Kardashian-Jenners for what will be 14 years, featuring the lives of this empowering family. Along with all of you, we have enjoyed following the intimate moments the family so bravely shared by letting us into their daily lives. While it has been an absolute privilege and we will miss them wholeheartedly, we respect the family’s decision to live their lives without our cameras. It is not our final goodbye yet, we are excited to have [Season 19] of Keeping Up with the Kardashians launching on September 17 with the final Season [20] airing in 2021.
It remains unclear what Caitlyn Jenner, father to the Jenner siblings, thinks about this.
