Kamala Harris rambles about Ghana, later announces $139 million in aid
Vice President Kamala Harris said she talked about many important topics during her trip to Ghana, but didn’t really name any of them. She just rambled on pointlessly like usual. Why is she there and not at the border? Anyway, she said: As you have mentioned, we have had today, this afternoon, a wide-ranging discussion. We have discussed a number of important topics, including the importance of concepts and priorities such as freedom and liberty.” By the way, she also announced $139 million in aid will go to Ghana. I bet the southern border could use a few more bucks. Reuters reported on the money issue:
U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris will on Monday announce a $139 million aid package for Ghana for next year as she begins a week-long trip to Africa, part of Washington’s drive to counter growing Chinese and Russian influence on the continent.
China has invested heavily in Africa in the last two decades, particularly in infrastructure, mining, timber and fishing, while Russian private military contractor Wagner Group is providing security assistance in several countries.
