Jim Jordan said no
Republican Jim Jordan was asked a very simple question and gave a very simple answer. Jordan was asked if there is any chance that he will be elected as Speaker of the House while Kevin McCarthy continues to fail on consecutive ballots. Jim Jordan simply said no. There’s no chance he’ll become speaker considering he barely had any support for it. Seems like Jim Jordan doesn’t have any desire to hold the position either, and that’s fine too. Either way, it seems like Republicans are struggling to come to a conclusion on who they want as speaker as we’ve hit at least four ballots at this point, with this being the first time in 100 years it has even seen round two.
