Jim Jordan, an Ohio congressman, has compiled a list of investigations that House Republicans must lead if they are to retake the majority in the midterm elections in November. Jordan told Just The News that a prospective GOP-controlled House of Representatives should focus on three questions.
Jordan, the leading Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, stated that Dr. Anthony Fauci’s misinformation and alleged lies about the COVID pandemic should be investigated, said report.
Jordan has long argued that the coronavirus was made in a lab in Wuhan, China. A new study published in The New York Times on Saturday shows that the virus came from a live animal market. Jordan’s comment came in a tweet where he noted that the ‘new’ info came from the same group of people that told Fauci that it came from the lab. They changed the tune after getting a $9 million grant, Jordan claims.
Jordan stated that the second investigation should look into the record number of people who illegally entered the U.S. at the southern border. Jordan feels that this was deliberate. Two million people crossed the border in only one year, and this scenario was simply wrong.
Jordan’s third suggestion was to conduct an investigation into the “weaponization” of the Department of Justice and parts of the government that targeted parents. Jordan was referring to Attorney General Merrick Garland’s announcement last October that the FBI would be looking into a disturbing spike in harassment and intimidation of school administrators, teachers, staff, and board members.
The announcement came after the National School Boards Association (NSBA) suggested in a letter to President Joe Biden that parents who acted aggressively during school board meetings on COVID-19 regulations and the teaching of critical race theory should be recognized as “domestic terrorism.”
