A rally was held in Dripping Springs recently by a traveling convoy journeying across the nation toward the southern border. The convoy stopped in Dripping Springs where the organizers and speakers spread mixed messages regarding their goal, as several speakers and those in attendance said that they were going down to the border to pray, while others took a more confrontational approach.
An invitation is being extended by the organization to law-abiding, freedom-loving Americans, veterans, active and retired law enforcement and military, business owners, Mama Bears, elected officials, ranchers, truckers, and bikers, as this journey is part of a national call to action that is taking participants to several border locations, such as Yuma, Arizona and San Ysidro, Calif., outside of Eagle Pass.
According to a security guard at the event, there were roughly 500 people in attendance, with the intent for a “peaceful” gathering, as several speakers emphasized to the crowd. This group of people started their journey in Virginia, but participants have been joining from various locations across the nation. One part of the group identifies themselves as “God’s Army,” and they plan to head toward the southern border as their next location.
There were also special appearances at the rally by former Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin and Musician Ted Nugent. Both of them had something to say to the crowd, as they slammed the federal government for what they view as a lack of action on border security. Palin said that it is treasonous what our own federal government is doing to us, adding that it is “actually sanctioning an invasion, a foreign invasion across our border.” Nugent also made a speech and at one point, referred to President Joe Biden as a “devil scum snake,” and the crowd went crazy and drew loud cheers from them, reported Yahoo News. The rally and events for the trucker convoy have even attracted people like Ted Nugent to come out and play the National Anthem. Watch Ted shred below!
It is obvious that people are starting to get very frustrated and dissatisfied with how the government has been handling the immigration crisis, and it seems like more and more people are joining the rally around the country with the desire to try to make the government hear them and do something about the ongoing immigration issue, which is obviously beginning to getting out of hands of those who should be responsible in the first place.
