Facebook’s company, Meta, will soon test a built-in tool to split restaurant bills within Messenger. It’s called Split Payment and testing in US could start soon.
You may use the new feature to ask individuals for money in a group chat as well as to track who has paid their half. Meta has provided screenshots that give users an insight into how it all works. The addition comes shortly after the departure of David Marcus, Meta’s former Messenger leader, and cryptocurrency chief.
Meta has also launched new Group Effects. This feature allows people on Messenger and Instagram to use the augmented reality effects for their video calls. Zach King’s effect makes your connection to be buffering, while Emma Chamberlain’s will be available to users from 6th December.
Meta has also lately created a new “soundmoji.” Two are based on the popular series Stranger Things, and one plays a clip from Taylor Swift’s “Red.”
