(Crankers) Newsmax TV’s Eric Bolling is going to be moved to 8 p.m. prime time starting June 14th, the host said on his daily show. “This show is moving to a brand new time slot, starting Tuesday,” Bolling informed his audience. “You can get your daily dose of common sense and knowledge with a healthy dose of stark.”

The host then pledged to target the most prominent names in primetime cable which included Fox News host Tucker Carlson.

“Anderson Cooper, lookout. Coming after you. Chris Hayes, coming after you. Tucker, coming after you, pal. Got you in our sights,” Bolling stated.

He also thanked his show team and the CEO of Newsmax, Chris Ruddy.

The Balance has been included in the network’s afternoon programming since its launch last July – being aired Monday through Friday at 4 p.m. ET.

Ruddy lauded Bolling as an iconic anchor who was trusted by network viewers in his early days.

“Viewers know and trust Eric Bolling as one of the most tenacious guys in TV news, and insiders know he’s a true veteran who is driven to follow the facts and deliver the news,” Ruddy said last July 27.

After less than a year, the host is taking on perhaps the most competitive hour in television.

Bolling, a Fox News alum, will face off against Tucker Carlson during the hour for a share of the conservative media pie. The 8 p.m. hour is presently being held by Grant Stinchfield.

Stinchfield has fallen far behind the CNN show of AC360 and MSNBC show of All In over the past two weeks in both in terms of total viewers and the 8 p.m. hour demo.

Tucker Carlson Tonight has continued to be the king in both categories.

The Balance also had trouble keeping up with the 4 p.m. hour with CNN, Fox News and MSNBC.

On June 8th, Your World with Neil Cavuto drew in more than 1.4 million viewers over the hour. Deadline: The White House was second with about 1.1 million viewers, while The Lead with Jake Tapper drew 630,000 viewers. The Balance drew 176,000 viewers.

Newsmax TV recently signed a deal with former Fox News host Greta Van Susteren, with her show The Record set to air at 6 p.m. ET time starting June 14th. It’s not clear yet how Newsmax TV’s primetime shakeup will be impacting the rest of the network’s current programming.
