(Crankers.com) Olivia Cooke talked about the fans or trolls who watch ‘House of the Dragon’ and the things they’ve said. Well, the horrible things in particular!
She stated: “Some of the fans have been fucking horrible to our cast. It makes me really angry that we’re then supposed to just bow down and [pay] obeisance to these people that only want to say the most debased, hate-filled things. But thankfully, we’ve all experienced it in our own way, and we’ve got each other, which doesn’t make it right”
House of the Dragon is an HBO fantasy drama television series set in the world of Westeros, serving as a prequel to Game of Thrones. It chronicles the rise and bloody civil war of House Targaryen, about 200 years before the events of the original series.
The plot: The story begins with King Viserys I breaking with tradition by naming his daughter, Rhaenyra, as his heir to the Iron Throne. This decision sets off a brutal and complex war of succession known as the “Dance of the Dragons” when Viserys later has a son.
The series is based on portions of author George R. R. Martin’s 2018 book, Fire & Blood, which is a fictional history of the Targaryen dynasty.
The series takes place when the Targaryens were at the height of their power, with many dragons still in existence. It focuses heavily on the political intrigue within the royal court in King’s Landing.
The show features a mix of political maneuvering, complex characters with ambiguous morality, and stunning visual effects of dragons, echoing the themes and tone of its predecessor.
