(Crankers) UPDATE from NBC NEWS:

NBC : An Alabama woman who accused Jay-Z and Diddy of raping her when she was 13 years old sat down with NBC News to recount what she called a “catastrophic event”: a limo ride to a white house, a drink that made her feel woozy, a sexual assault by rap stars that would ruin her life.

But the woman and her lawyers also acknowledge that there were some inconsistencies in her account in response to questions from NBC News.

“I have made some mistakes” in recollections of that night, the woman, identified as Jane Doe in the lawsuit filed against Jay-Z and Diddy, told NBC News. The woman said she stands by her allegations overall. The inconsistencies in her account of the incident — alleged to have happened 24 years ago — do not necessarily mean the allegations are false.

Original story which is now in question:

A civil lawsuit filed against Diddy has been refiled and now accuses Jay-Z being of raping a 13-year-old girl along with Diddy in the year 2000. The accuser is anonymous and going by the name ‘Jane Doe.’ She claims the incident happened when she went to an MTV Video Music Awards after-party, driven there by someone else connected to the rapper.

The federal lawsuit was filed in October that had Diddy as the defendant. It was filed in the Southern District of New York, but was refiled recently to include Jay-Z. The attorney who filed the federal lawsuit, a Texas-based man named Tony Buzbee, did not issue any comments about it.

Jay-Z said the lawyer, Buzbee, was acting unprofessional. Jay-Z said the allegations are ‘idiotic,’ according to several reports in the news. The report on the Jay-Z allegations said more about his response:

“These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree?” Carter said in a statement to NBC News. “These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case.”

A spokesman for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York declined to comment on whether the office is pursuing the case when shown NBC News’ report on the lawsuit.

Buzbee has filed several lawsuits in recent months — all have withheld their complainants’ names — accusing Combs of assault and rape. This is the first suit in which he has named another high-profile defendant.

In a statement, legal representatives for Combs called the suits “shameless publicity stunts, designed to extract payments from celebrities who fear having lies spread about them, just as lies have been spread about Mr. Combs.”

“As his legal team has said before, Mr. Combs has full confidence in the facts and the integrity of the judicial process. In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone—man or woman, adult or minor,” the statement read.

so i just read this and can’t help but wonder how come it took so long for this to come out? like, it’s been over 20 years. also, how come it was only filed against diddy first and now jay-z’s name is being added? kinda confusing to me. does anybody know more about why it takes this long for such serious accusations to surface?

The thing about these cases is they’re quite complex. Victims often take years to come forward due to trauma or fear of not being believed, especially when high-profile individuals are involved. Legally, adding defendants to a lawsuit isn’t uncommon as more evidence surfaces or legal strategies change.

I’m skeptical too, bc how does someone wait 20+ years to say something?

here we go again, the media tryna drag legends through the mud. what’s the real story here? seems like every time someone’s on top, there’s suddenly all these accusations. not saying it did or didn’t happen but gotta question the timing and motivations behind all this. and jay-z calling the lawyer unprofessional, that’s rich.

If they don’t put their name on it, then is it really a serious allegation? I’m not saying it happened or not, but I am very skeptical of ‘anonymous’ people filing these lawsuits.
